What a difference a week makes.
Fished from about 1:00 to dusk on Saturday and caught one lousy chum. We fished west point for about three hours, then north of Shilshole for about an hour and a half. Didn't see any fish on the fish finder at west point, but saw a lot south of Shilshole. Man, it was lumpy out there. Tried calling you guys on 16 and 68, but didn't hear anything back.
Caught one 9 lb silver on Sunday. Fished north of Shilshole all the way up to the oil dock. There again, I saw a lot of fish on my fish finder, just couldn't get them to bite.
The guys at the locks said that they have been cruising through there en-masse. I saw thousands swimming around in the ship canal. I'd say that that rain last week got them into a spawning mood, and they are more interested in heading upstream than the succulent offerings we have been providing.
The wife and I leave on Thursday for a week and a half in Playa Del Carmen, looks like silver season is done for me.

I am going to dive, and do some spear fishing down there though. The downside is that I will be missing the razor clam opening down in Longbeach.
Oh well. I guess there's always winter kings, and duck hunting isn't too far off.
