firstmate, must be a saint!

well, today my firstmate and i celebrate our 31 anniversary!
she must be a saint to have put up with me for the past 31 years!
this old ex-marine will not get sentimental, but, marriage appears to be like fine wine, greatly improves with age, as well as value.
i extend a hardy congratulations to all c-brat's celebrating their anniversary this year, as wish each of you, smooth sailing, wind to your back, sunshine to warm your face, and rains that fall softly upon your bow.

have a great day!

I thought there were only former marines, not ex- ones  . All us C-Brats will celebrate an anniversary this year! At least the married ones... We'll be doing our 43rd in Dec and you're right, it only gets better!! :thup :love :hug :hug2

Hope you make it to Langford...

Charlie

thanks jeff and charlie,
you guys are correct, it's former, but remember i'm getting long on the tooth and as a result, become forgetful about terminology.
capt. charlie, i emailed john at lankford last evening. waiting for his return info on slip and veh/trailer storage. also, downloaded info on rock hall trolley system and other related items. looks like a great little place!
checked out the bay, not quite as big as lake cumberland, but guess it will have to do. hopefully there will be enough water for the boats.
best regards
pat

ps: i thought my wife was a saint, 43 years, now there's a lady that has earned her salt!

Pat --
Congrats -- this will be our 49th year together, and the Admiral is as frisky and fun as the day we met. Can't imagine what life would have been like without her! One thing I know -- we wouldn't be on a boat, since living aboard was her idea. Have a great celebration! E&B

What a wonderful thread to read. Thank you and congratulations. And you certainly posted in the right forum. Thank you for that, too.

Mike

What is it about ex-Marines, long marriages and C-Dorys? :smilep
I guess when we find what we like we stick with it. :wink

hi guys,
thanks for the kind words. it's been a very good day. to some, we're an old married couple, to others we're practically newly weds.
tomorrow we leave for lake cumberland, plan to be on the water, at least by friday. will give a fitting toast to my fellow c-brats.
thanks again and have a terrific weekend.
pat

ps: i would give diamonds and a rolex, if i just had enough money left over from outfitting the boat!

Capt. Pat;

Congrats on the 31yrs. to the General in you regiment; as well as having such a ranking officer in her team, as you.

We were at the NAS Oceana Fitness Center this afternoon and one of the ladies came over to my wife of 43yrs and asked our names. She referred to us as the "cute couple'' who worked together. That gave us pause and a laugh. Likewise I can't think of my world without her, either.

Pat, you have a very special person there, one who went through all that you marines did. She should get something greater than JUST a ROLIX; but you know that. She is priceless. You obviously cherish and love her very much.

Again,, congrats.
