Falling In Love!

It was a cold and gray Northwest day when I first laid eyes on her. My first thought was "Oh, Yes!" I would like to get to know you better. I did my best to restrain my feelings and decided to see her again at a later date. It was a couple of weeks before I'd see her again. Yah! I was excited but this time she said, "I love you" :love and I want to be yours. Just :love me and take care of me. As I was about to leave I kissed her on the nose and said "OK you can be my MATEY" (By Joe)

(By Ruth) Oh, yes! Another C-Dory. This is number four and a 22 Cruiser built by the Toland family - Marben Marine, Kent, WA, 1993. Looking forward to getting back into boating....and Hey! We did pretty good, only 85 days without a boat.

PS: Do you think I need to keep an eye on this guy named Joe and his love affair with this new to us C-Dory? Oh, yah! Another note. Got her home on Saturday between 2-3 pm. Early the next morning receive a PM from a boater friend inquiring as to "What's that C-Dory doing in your yard"......Doesn't take long for good news to travel fast :thup

Our thanks to Roger and Beth of the SENSEI for selling us this sweetheart of a C-Dory.

It is nice to see so many come back to the Cdory 22' crusiers. We have never left, but have looked plenty. I think the 22' crusier is the best of all the Cdorys produced. It does a lot of things really well.

Great to hear Joe and Ruth! The C-Dory world is a much better place w/ you guys in it.

Take care and be good,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity

Sweet! Love the story and so happy you have your new 22 :thup (And Roger still has his Classic, so no-one is "going without" :D)

Great news!!! Best of luck with the new to you boat. How shiny is it now since you've had it a couple days? We look forward to seeing you at FH. Congratulations guys.

It was such a pleasure to transfer the 93 to an amazing couple that are so well endeared here on the C-Brats. Before the holidays we met with Joe & Ruth for lunch and we were talking about how we were going to pay for my increasing medical bills after insurance paid their share.
we mentioned that we might have to sell the 93 and we left it at that.
a couple of weeks later Joe & Ruth were out for a drive and ended up at our house. we enjoyed some tea/coffee and fruitcake and then Joe asked if he could see the Encounter. we walked out to the barn and they took a quick look at her and they left.

the rest is history.....lol.....

Congratulations Joe & Ruth. Welcome back to the C-Dory world. We are so happy for you guys. Hope to see you at Friday Hbr. :love

On perusal I see Encounter is not only the right colour, it has the right engine!!!
How lucky shopping can you get!

I'll go and be good now

We knew it wouldn't be long. We are looking forward to seeing you two this summer!

So many responses here. Thank you! This is wonderful! Can't begin to think of a better place to be than back here with so many friends that we've shared the past eleven years with...It's not really that we ever left but we are now really at home. Even after we purchased the Ranger tug we continued to host the BHam CBGT for two years. Couldn't quite pull the Band-Aid off all of the way.

A lot of the fun occurs off of the water. A lunch or dinner with our boating friends. We did meet some terrific Ranger Tugnuts but missed being with the Brats.

Now, back to wearing our C-Dory tee shirts, again! And yes, Barry! We'll be having a christening, that's for sure!

Ruth and Joe,
C-Brats #22
