Factory Gel Coat

I know there are many threads on gel coat repair and I have read through them...however I have one question that was not answered.

Three cans of what looks like gel came with my new 19 angler. My question is, how do I use this and what do I mix it with. Do I need another product in concert with this?

I have a small spot where I dug the anchor into the bow and I need to fill it and paint it. Are the factory cans the way to go?
 
Saltspring, Funny you should ask. I just came in from filling a coulple of trailering scratches. If the scratch isn't too deep, the factory gel coat will fill it. The gel coat needs a hardner. It's Metyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide, available at auto parts and paint stores. I mix up about an ounce at a time with 10 drops of hardner. Probably not too precise but it works. It can be sanded down to smooth finish then buffed to a shine. Good luck!
