Anyone interested in a good read? Dr. Bob gave me Powell's "The Exploration of the Colorado River and its Canyons", and now it's my turn to pass it along. Interesting reading. I was surprised at Powell's knowledge of the area, geology and people.

Send me a PM with your address if you're interested. First one gets the book.

Bob, thanks for the great read!!!

Steve, You are Welcome. I always find it enjoyable to read one of the classics about the Glen Canyon area when on a trip up there. I read the one on Powell when we were on the San Juan Arm. It really is a great read, fun and fast reading! Thanks for passing it on.

Just really sorry that things did not work out for your to have spent the rest of the several weeks with us on the Lake!

You sure do have a winner. My first job as a newbie geologist I was told to map the geology of Glen Canyon before Lake Powell would cover the canyon -- j. w. Powell (through his book) was my guide. He continued to guide me through my ten years of leading raft trips through Grand Canyon and other canyons of the Colorado and her tributaries, and then through many more years while on our C-dory ( down the Colo. To Mexico).

What a great writer and adventurer he was -- and a darned good geologist. His book is fine reading whether you will be boating on those rivers or looking for a great fireside book at home this winter.

So what you're saying is a Democrat, crony lawyer is not as qualified to make decisions about a terminal disease that has the capability to become a pandemic here vs someone with a real science, medical background?

Imagine that.

"Czar". Such a telling title from the current administration.
