On March 16, 2011 at 5 PM there will be a "Presentation of the Boating Access and Public Facilities Plan" in the Blue Heron Room, Waterfront Center, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett.
"The Port of Everett is currently updating its Boating Access and Public Facilities Plan for 2011. This plan inventories our boating and public facilities, itemizes goals, objectives, and tracks our demands and needs for these facilities. The plan will also call out for specific improvement, enhancement and new projects that may be elgible for grant application. Past projects receiving grant funds as functions of the original plan include the 12th Street Marina Guest Moorage Dock and A-Dock."
"The Port would like to invite its marina slip holders to the Blue Heron Room in the new Waterfront Center on March 16 beginning at 5 p.m. to learn more about the development of this plan and provide your input toward the plan elements. When the Boating Access & Public Facilities Plan is completed, the Port will be formally eligible to pursue and apply for future state recreation grants for the projects recommended in this plan."
(I'm unsure if those of us that are NOT "slip holders", are able to attend this as the above seems specific to them. However, it might be possible to attend if anyone is interested. It seems that possibly the general public might be welcomed given the subject nature. Since, I work that day and night, I'm unable to even attempt to attend, but thought that I'd pass this along anyhow.)
