I have some positive news to share. As you probably know, Northwest Marine took over/succeeded Triton Industries manufacturing C-Dorys. Well, I gave a refundable deposit to Triton to build a Tomcat last year. I got a call last Spring telling me of the transition. I later backed out of the deal and bought a pre-owned Tomcat, and quite frankly, expected a lot of finger-pointing as to where my money went. Not the case. Northwest Marine honored the deal and returned the funds without question.

I purchased some parts from Northwest Marine this summer and also had a good experience :thup

One of the things I got was a set of C-Dory decals to replace my originals. Each side comes as two decals that go on with an overlay (gold background then peeks out from behind dark main lettering). I wasn't ready to install them when they arrived, so I placed them carefully away in a flat spot. Well, despite my care, when I went to get them out I realized that one of the sections had slightly folded over on itself, and there was no way to get it back "right" without wrecking it. I felt like the kid who gets a block from the ice cream store when the barely-licked cone goes "splat" and lands upside-down on the sidewalk. Waaah!

I called NMI and explained, and they cheerfully sent me out a replacement for the one section I had mucked up. Good folks and great service.

As someone who had a fairly recent purchase from Northwest Marine through Marc at Wefings, my experience was a good one. Issues were resolved as they came up and I was sent emails of the boat while it was in production. My only suggestion to them was to build some of these boats in Florida where I believe they would sell quite well.
