Ethanol question / concern

Gas here now has 10% ethanol being added to the mix. I have heard that letting it sit more than 30-60 days can cause it to become corrosive. I usually keep my tanks full to help preventive moisture from collecting in the tanks. In the winter I always treat the fuel with preservative as we don't use the boat as often, but given the mild winters we do use it some. We have a 2006 Yamaha 4-stroke 90 on our C-Dory.

I was wondering what others on this board think of this issue and whether you recommend draining the tank in low usage times and if the gas aging issue is really a big concern or not?

Thanks

Can't say for sure if it will be a cure but I have switched to the blue "Stabil" which is the marine version, and specific to the ethanol issue. It was recommended by my Yamaha mechanics. We will be running our boat in the 30 - 60 day bracket, at least.

Just bought the same stuff. Won't be able to add it untill May or June. Our non boating winters are a little longer here, so hope the red stable works for us again this winter. Noticed the local Flying J had a warning about possible 10% ethanol in the gas and it was there on the final fill up for winter.
