A heads up for all you wanting to get into the C Dory world!

"Popeye" a 1982 Angler is now being prepared to be sold. It will be ready to show at the White Rock pier in about 2 weeks.

No frills here just a solidly built boat. Has the most amazing 2 stroke I have ever owned. Has VHF and depthfinder. A good foundation to add whatever your dream is.

This was my first C Dory and soon it can be yours!

Very good question and thanks for asking.

The early classics were built solid as a tank ( when I install a second outlet for a bilge pump the fiberglass was 3/8" thick) but they were also a very basic boat. For example, the only electronics on this one are a VHF and a fishfinder. I see this as a perfect boat for someone who wants to get started and will update over time. What is there all works perfectly, but compared to others its not fancy. The price will reflect this.

I searched for about 1 year before I found this one. It was affordable, was a 22', and was solid. I have enjoyed it so much and have travelled to the Gulf Islands many times.( 20 mi run) Now I am moving up in the C Dory world and its time to let "Popeye" go.

That is why I call it an "Entry Level" C Dory in the 22' category.
 
Thanks for the reply - I get it now. When I bought my 19 it had nothing installed which was perfect for me. I got to mount and install everything the way I wanted. I would call our boats when we bought them the PERFECT canvas to do what you want. Good luck on your sale.
