Droopy twin engine

Still Crazy has twin 50 hp Suzuki's. The Starboard engine will droop down to vertical after a couple weeks parked. The port engine remains up forever. I'm thinking a leaky seal inside the hydraulics on the starboard engine lift, somewhere in the hydraulic loop.

Anyone else run into this?

It is so slow that I'm inclined to ignore it...for now at least.

Thoughts?

If it really bugs you, you can put the lock on it (I think you have them, my Honda's did) and it will rest on there. There is a bleed adjustment, I think, which may be loose on that engine.

While one never knows for certain, it is probably the lift piston seal leaking a bit. It doesn't take much either and it won't likely gush oil anywhere at all but normally the piston is somewhat wetter than the other one. It is a common occurance on all makes and models and fixable, but labor intensive. I'd get it fixed if it is still covered. However, if it is not, it won't hurt anything to live with it if you can trailer it down and not hit the skeg on the road.

Back off the Manual Bleed Valve(lets motor be tilted when pump fails) & re tighten it.

Hydraulics leak over time, that's just the way they are. Some leaking more than others isn't surprising. If I were you I'd just use the hard lock and take the pressure off of both of them.

tsturm.........

I opened the manual hydraulic bypass valve and let the motor all the way down to vertical. Closed the valve, ran it back up with the pump. It has not moved in 8 hrs. THat solved my problem.
Thanks
