Doomsday...May 21st!!!!

Mark - on the bright side, May 21st is only the beginning of the end. The real end of the world is 5 months later:
On that day, Keitt says, a great earthquake will roll across the Earth. The dead will be spit out of their tombs, and Jesus will arrive to take "the elect" with him to heaven. Everybody else will have a pretty bad five months to endure before the world officially ends on Oct. 21.

So not only do we get the Friday Harbor gathering, we get to fish most of the salmon season. You just have to keep an eye out for dead heads in the water.

dead heads?/ thats funny..

It will get here when it gets here and doubt i will be here to see it so I might as well have fun until then.

I had several friends and a wife of a good friend that were sure the government and then the world as we knew it was going to end on 1/1/2000 because of the y2k thing.
After the fact they tried to down play their level of panic and hysteria as just being prepared. At the time I was in the propane business. I must have set up a couple of hundred 1000 gallon tanks for back up generators at McMansions in El Dorado county. After wards a lot of those tank owners wanted refunds for a tank they did not need. some peoples kids......

At Y2K we were at a remote cabin worried about whether the outhouse was Y2K compliant. We decided the best test was to go to the outhouse and advance your watch until after midnight and see if the outhouse still worked. I think I will plan to go to the outhouse on the 20th and advance my watch until the 21st and see what happens.

at least its not teen boys. They would eat everything thats not tied down or running under its own power. What did the girls eat? half a cookie and salad between the six of them?

It did actually come to an end for me that morning.......I usually wake up in the morning to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the coffee maker....on that fateful morning the coffee maker quit working! (....and I don't mean the Admiral..... )

Sure did make me pause for a moment. :disgust

With some experience in this realm, I can say that a bunch of teenage girls do not necessarily eat less than a bunch of teenage boys. We've been wiped out by the girls more than once....where is that last pint of chocolate ice cream??????

after raising a boy and a girl, including college, grad school, bsba/mba, for my daughter and med school, for my son, i would much rather raise 3 boys to one girl! girls are very, very high maintenance!
when my son had buddies over they would order pizza, when my daughter had girlfriends over they would cook and never clean up afterwards!
