Does anyone use a Scotty 30" Depth Thrower Downrigger?

I kept my Scotty electric downrigger when I sold my Arima and I'm just now looking at trying to mount it on my CD22. It looks like there is no good place to put it. I thought someone out there faced this problem in the past and may be able to help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Usually people with a 22 mount the downriggers on the gunwales. Here's an image of how mine were mounted on my previous 22.

Thats the best place to mount it. it over hangs just a bit but you will never notice.
