Grace Full a 26 Ventura will be heading North from Charleston, S.C. to OBX. We would love to see any other C-Dorys along the way. June 16 we will be in Balitmore for two weeks than trailer to Iowa (have to see grand kids). Than on to Az. Hope to go to Lake Powell and meet all of you. Than we will head back to Fl. for the winter. These plans are set in Jell-O so keep an eye out for Grace Full, you never know where we will turn up.

GRACE FULL,
If you are traveling the ICW and come through the Hampton Roads area, you are welcome to tie up at my floating dock, which is within arms reach of Mile Marker Zero / Downtown Norfolk & Portsmouth.
Best regards,

And, as you travel North on the Chesapeake Bay, we've got a place 10 minutes up thr Potomac, about halfway to Baltimore from Steve's house. Pier with power and water, you're welcome to stop and overnight if you want to.

Flint,
Good to see that you are underway and using that 26. We will probably see you all at Powell in Sept. You have our cell phone- and give a call when you are near Powell.

Enjoy your trip.

Grace Full, I am sorry we missed you. My wife and I just leisurely cruised our Venture 23 up the ICW from Charleston to Beaufort, NC. Until now all of our years of boating have been spent in the West so this was our first East Coast cruise. I can tell you we had a wonderful time on the ICW in all respects! In Beaufort we then rented a car and drove back to Charleston to retrieve our SUV/trailer, and then towed the boat up to Portsmouth and enjoyed Steve & Joan's awesome dock and superb hospitality before joining them and 3 other boats on the North Carolina Loop Cruise. It was also fabulous in all aspects.

The boating opportunities in these areas seem limitless with all of the rivers, bays, etc... We loved boating in SF Bay and the Delta, but these areas can get boring after many (many) years. We are loving the diversity of opportunity presented by having trailer our boat to the East Coast.

We are currently visiting family while enjoying a berth at Occoquan Harbor Marina on the Potomac. From here I suspect we'll cruise north to DC for a couple of nights, although we are also considering heading south so we can attend the Chesapeake Bay Pocket Yacht Rendezvous next weekend at Spring Cove Marina in Solomons, MD. Weather this week looks wet but that isn't too much of a problem in a C-Dory.

Enjoy the ICW!!
