Crabbing in San Jauns

Can anybody tell me whether or not crabbing is open in the San Jauns at this time? The wife and I are going to go on a winter cruise and I was wondering if I should bring a crab pot.

Yes, but be sure to get your Canadian license, which you can do online. Here is the link.

It used to be you could not possess crab in Washington that were out of season here even if they were legally caught in Canada. That language seems to have disappeared from the current state fishing pamphlet. So if anybody really knows for sure whether we can bring Canadian-caught crab back into Washington legally, I would sure like to know. We can be crabbing in Canadian waters within about five minutes from launching in Blaine! So, the problem would appear to be identification - the crab don't have passports and don't even say "eh" - so how would you prove where you caught them? The WDFW game guys are a suspicious lot to begin with...

Crabbing and shrimp is open in canada so cross over and have a good time.

Crab season opens June 19th in the South Sound.
Does anyone have a link for the BC regs and license info for Crab and Shrimp? Also any good locations for shrimp in BC but close to the border?

heres a link for the canadian rules. has good maps and is not to hard to understand if you know the language eh.

Crab and shrimp is mostly a year round even in most areas. from the map you can see that area 18 and 19 are the areas you will be in most.

Thanks for the into. Invested in custom crab pots, a puller, line and real and now with a larger boat expect to run up there for some BC Prawns after our season closes or before.
