A question I posed to a C Dory customer of ours just yesterday...
Why doesn't anyone ever post pictures of crabs, lobsters, or shellfish?
While I consider myself to be an avid (notice I didn't say accomplished) fisherman, I seldom eat what I catch. Indiana has mostly a "catch and release" fishery, and is not a hotbed for edible species...
On the other hand, I love to eat crab and shellfish! But alas here we have only crawdads and mussels... not exactly fine fare...
So why is it that we all post pictures of fine fish. The hour long battle, or the fish that fills the cockpit floor, or even the one that cannot be hauled aboard in one piece? But just try to find a picture of a tasty crab...
Is a crab so ridiculously ugly that if cannot be photographed? Or does it just not have the romance of a huge fish? Do I hafta Double-Dog-Dare someone to get a crab pic???
Little in life makes my mouth water like a steaming crab!
Food for thought?
