I'm doing social distancing right. I keep the phone 10 feet from my face

And straddle the dotted line so no one drives too close.

I checked the local grocery store's website first before going to the store, they said a mask and some gloves would be fine.
After everyone stopped screaming and freaking out I realized they lied! Everyone else had on clothes!

I stopped at the bank today. They didn't like the mask and gloves too much. Some nice guys in blue uniforms offered to give me a ride to their place. Free lunched and rent.

I should have declined.

I believe this Web site is for boats and boating, not the BS that is on it now.

From the C-Brats forum index "General Chat This is the place! Come on in, make new friends, or kick back and share the fun with old ones. No rules - Just Be Nice!" :)

It not only TP that is not available. I went into Academy Sports to buy some fishing stuff today. They were sold out of hand guns and only had one AR15. I'm glad I bought my AR15 last month. I have plenty of hand guns and 1,000 rounds of ammo for each. Just try and get my TP.

Well there is a little more humor and good news; Race to Alaska to Alaska "Boss Daniel Evans:

COVID is real in every direction of our reality, in our wallet, our food, our friends. It dangles on the edge of our thoughts, sits at the back of our tongues and rings in our ears. My ears ring because the media refuse to talk about anything else. But it’s affecting our race, too.

The presence of COVID-19 began as a distant cry and has grown into this thundering beast clearing our streets and emptying workplaces, but look, I’m going to lead with the punchline: Race to Alaska and SEVENTY48 are happening until they are not.

In fact, I won't cancel a race unless there is a directive levied against the activity from some body of governance that has the chops to levy it or, its termination serves to lessen the exposure to COVID.

In defense of our race, and the value of it running as planned, I offer the following ripostes:

“Find a better way to experience extreme social distancing.”

“It’s a needed family break from what has turned into a six-month summer vacation for our kids.”

“The races are custom-designed entertainment for the masses of forced and self-isolated victims worldwide.”

I have volunteered as a Safety Boat for the Race to Alaska since it's inception, (Six years I believe), and for the SEVENTY48 "People Powered Race" since it started 4 years ago. It's just a way I can give back with my boat.

I got that same email from Daniel (Race Boss), and was not surprised. He is pretty much a "Damn the Torpedoes" guy, and the people that participate in the R2AK just don't yield to adversity.

The SEVENTY48 is a people powered race, row, paddle or peddle, (No Sail). It starts in Tacoma, WA at 1700 on Friday and the racers have until 1700 on Sunday to finish. That race is all in Puget Sound, USA waters. The R2AK crosses the USA/Canada border TWICE, into Canada and out of Canada. That could be an issue for the racers since that international border is currently closed and may still be, depending.... It will be interesting to see further info on how That race might continue.
