Confession of a lurker

C Sniper

New member
Hello all,
I confess to lurking for months now. Finally jumping in.

I live on south padre island and just put a deposit down on a 22. It was custom order with bench seating instead of dinette and galley. I plan to pick it up next weekend. I intend to do some state water chartering and personal spearfishing trips out into GOM.

Does anyone happen to know this boat??? It has been on boat trader for awhile, listed in Kemah, Texas. It does not have a name. I saw old Cali registration number remnants under the TX numbers. It was supposedly on Lake Conroe before coming to Houston last year, if I have been informed correctly. Any history good or bad is appreciated!!!

Thanks for everyone taking time to post all the wisdomA

Sea Sniper, Welcome to C-BRATS and congratulations on your "New To You" C-Dory. Sounds like what you found will fit your purpose. Can't help you much on this boats history. Unfortunately not every owner participates here so we don't know every boat, but you may find someone from the area where it came from that recognizes and can help fill you in. Good luck there.

You can ask on of the admin guys (DaNag or Tyboo) to set up a photo album for you and then start filling in the blanks with some pictures. (Contact them via a PM by going to "Member List" and they are there at the top of the list.

Stick around here and you can learn everything there is to know about C-Dorys and meet lots of really nice people here too. It's a great place, so come on in and enjoy.

Welcome aboard! From another "Tropical Tip" member. We are on Long Island (just over from Port Isabel). We sold our C-Dory a few years ago, but still a fan of the brand. We are away right now (spring break, ya know), but will be home in about 3 weeks if you have any questions. I don't know that specific boat, but I do have a bit of familiarity with the brand.

Congrats on your new acquisition!

I remember that boat or one(s) like it being discussed quite a few years back.

I believe (IIRC) it was referred to as having a "commuter" style cabin layout.

I'll see what I can find, additionally.

On Edit: 2004 C-Dory 22 Commuter Model $32,500 Houston, Texas

More: 2004 C-Dory Commuter Florida $34,500

Is that your boat? Looks like a match? (Year and location match.) (Look at the photo album of the poster.) See below, too!

Just put "commuter" in the Search function on our homepage for more.

Congratulations on your new C-Dory!

wow that first one is it, TX numbers still the same. Thanks for digging that up. I will search commuter as suggested and read up on that model.
