Concern About Cabin/Cockpit Cracks

Hello all, I currently have a 22 Cruiser, and have a Scotty mount that I place my Ace Brutus Pot Puller on. There have been these cracks where the cabin meets the cockpit on the starboard gunwale. I’ve seen that these can just be normal from how the boat flexes, but wanted to see everyone’s opinion of if I’m running the risk of having a major failure here. I’m planning on putting some 1/4 aluminum under to help spread the load. Currently it’s just fender washers. Photos below. Thanks in advance for any info/advice.

My boat has similar cracks in the same spot and I don't have Scotty mounts there. This seems to be a stress point between the open cockpit part of the boat and the cabin part (different flexibilities).

These are in an area of thick gel coat, and there is little supporting fiberglass, so cracks develop. They are called "stress cracks", but not really due to stress. You puller should be fine.
