Competition for Permatrims

I recently installed one of these on my dinghy outboard (9.9 hp Mercury) and found that it gave me a considerable increase in thrust, a better ride (forced the nose down), and noticeably quieter at speed (not sure why). http://shop.sailboatowners.com/detail.h ... 0&cat=2601
No affiliation with the company, but sure pleased with the results.
 
Looks like it can only be used on motors to 60 HP. I might get on for the dingy on dads boat. It needs a little help getting on plane sometimes.
 
There are multiple "Fins" for dinghies that have been around for a very long time. The Permatrims (and Bob's Machine Shop--plus several others, made of Aluminum) are far different types of foils and suitable for larger boats. This is no competition for a Permatrim--and I would not use a Permatrim on that type of small boat.
