I have noticed that a few people keep their dinghy motor in the cockpit while travelling and I was wondering what kind of a bracket/support people have set up. Looking through the previous posts in this forum, I did not see any pictures that worked for my 2011 CD22.

Mike J,

On page five of our album is a nested album showing how I added a bracket to hold our Honda 2 in the splash well. I "borrowed" the idea from Peter on C-Dancer and it has worked very well.

Hope this helps,

Barry on C-Cakes has a simple and effective mounting system. Check out his album. Screen name Colobear.

I just checked our album and don't see pictures of the bracket. I'll take some pictures today and post them.

If you have a transom bar, you have 95% of what you need. I hang my 2 1/2 horse Suzi off the transom bar and made a wood block to tighten its transom clamps against. Easy-peasy.

Pictures of bracket posted in C-Cakes album, page 4. Still don't know how to put pictures directly into a post. Total cost of bracket about $2. Has been in use for about 6 years.

Thanks again, those pics help a lot!
