Clear V-Berth Shelves....

Hey Gang! Had a chance to once again cruise again with Tom and Marge. 1st met them on Lake Martin with Bill and El, then, on our 1st Nashville gathering... and now..they sold their C-Dory boat Pelican to Mike and Brenda (GYPSY).

Well after having moved to Clarksville, TN, we are only about an hour apart now, with the great lakes of KY/TN right in our back yard. Had a great afternoon cruising again with them on their current boat, a 1994 246 Rosborough. Had to share with you the CLEAR shelves that Tom built. These were especially nice in that no net to screw with, and, you can see what is inside of them to cut down the "what is in the goffer hole" type search we can go thru when we can not see inside of draws, boxes and shelves. Cool idea.

So glad to hear that all's well with Tom and Marge and that they're out cruising the rivers with you. They are two special people -- we will never forget the kindness they extended to us when El broke her leg putting the boat on the trailer after our cruise down the Ohio River. They moved Halcyon from the boat ramp to their yard and put up with me in their spare bedroom while El was in the nearby hospital mending. We have enjoyed their company on cruises, before and after El's accident, when they were on Pelican -- next time you see them give them a hug from us.

But that's why I have cupbords to hide all the krap I don't want everyone to see.....dirty laundry...booze....drugs...guns etc.

I agree with you, Joel. There is something to be said for keeping things shipshape, and that includes the visual, aesthetic aspects. It is a constant challenge to figure out where to store all of the stuff one wants and needs on a cruise, and yet do it without junking the place up.

Yes Bill.... we used the exact ramp that Ms. El fell on. It was dry, but, you should have seen Marge and I getting into that tippy toe mode when we needed to step into the waters edge for trailer snap works... REAL CAREFUL for sure.

Yep, I like hidding some stuff too...but, some things...I'd just be nice to find instead of hunting for.
