Hi Brats,

Marcia and I will be visiting her folks on St. Helena Island near Beaufort in late January and are planning on running up to the Charleston Boat Show to check out the new C-Dory's on the afternoon of the 25th.

Are any Charleston-area C-Brats going to be at the show that afternoon?

No boat this time for a few reasons: One- towing the boat on Route 77 and the WV Turnpike in January is out of the question for me. Two: this will be a working-type trip helping out Marcia's folks who have some health issues.

Three- Valkyrie has developed cracks on her aft port quarter near the transom and factory-authorized repairs will probably be done at that time, I hope.

I spent time in your area a number of years ago on my sailboat and love the Low Country. In fact, I spent a week at anchor in Charleston exploring your lovely city. I really look forward to fishing the water off the St. Helena, Port Royal, Hilton Head and Savannah area.

I send you a PM shortly before we head down and finalize our plans.
