Well, I got the broken Zerk fitting out. Pretty easy, actually. I've written it up at Navagear, but here are the pictures:

My god tim, you did not brake off the zerk , you pulled it apart. I have never seen this before...

Same thing just happened on our '05 Honda 40. It broke apart easily while pulling the gun off. I've worked around heavy equipment and have never seen this either.
I wonder how many defective zerks there are out there?
