Well, times they are a changing. After living in Naples for the past 25 years, it’s time to close that chapter of our lives and move on. We are going to miss our friends on the Gulf and being a beacon on the southern route for C-Brats cruising these waters.

I am relinquishing the hosting services to Jim (jennykatz) and will be opening my doors and dock space to those of you who find yourself on the St. John’s River at Astor, Fl.

In preparation for some extensive land cruising and exploring, Judy and I purchased a Fifth Wheel RV and will be setting up camp at Parramore’s Fantastic Fish Camp and Resort in Astor beginning July 1st.

We hope that all our good friends and fellow C-Brats will check in with us whenever they are looking to be in our area. As always, any time and any way we can be of service to our fellow cruisers, we are always more than happy to oblige.

Well, Mike, you ol' son of a gun - congratulations! I didn't know you were considering a mix of the RV and boating lifestyles. It has certainly been working well for us, and I hope you two and the furry kids find it interesting, as well.

I'll be calling.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Looks like a great place. We will have to come and visit (you both and the dogs!) Probably have to be in the Fall, after our summer Trips!

Now if the boss would let me buy that Stacker trailer, so I could tow both the Honda Pilot and Caracal behind the Holiday Rambler--life would be perfect. (she thinks it would be top heavy--and she is probably correct). Another problem is that we would probably be getting pretty close to 65 feet length over all...

Thank you guys for the well wishes. Jim: I enjoyed talking to you to night...even though you did call collect and Dr. Bob, I have decided that instead of trying to toll the big rig and the Papillon both at the same time...I am just going to make stops at all my C-Brat friends and bum a ride on their boats. And in the fall would be great to see you and Marie, and we will be a lot closer to the C-Brat Gatherings ....too.

My Goodness Mike,

...I think trolling the Papilion's is a little drastic. Might want to check with Judy beforehand.

Oop's just noticed - I misread (hee, hee, hee).

Best,
Casey

Mike,

I enjoyed talking with you a short time ago and wish you and Judy the best. Once again, I've enjoyed your hospitality and you know that our door is always open to you. Hope that your plans to journey up here to Ohio come to fruition. Say "Hi" to Judy for me.

Regards,

Nick

Mike, I have a very good friend right there in Astor, and he owns an RV business in that area or towards Daytona a bit. They live on the river, first lot by one of the city ramps. Fun to sit on one of their docks and watch/listen to the "family development" chats that occur with boats, trailers and tow vehicles. Often, some kinds of second language kicks in.

I was down at the boat ramp on Saturday and it appeared to be quite busy, so I am sure there was lots to be learned had I had the time to say and listen.

Drop me your friends name and busines...info for I am sure I will need some RV supplies once I head up with the 5th'er on June 1st.

I am looking very foward to cruising the area both on water and on land.

Mike
