Bill, good job, and near the end of the season. Must not be many traps around where you go, they usually vacuum them all up by mid-season.
Joel buddy, you can come out with me anytime (next season), I can give you LOTS OF PRACTICE!!!! Not many bugs though. Heck, I've nearly worn out my hoop nets, might have to replace some.
You're allowed 5 nets per person, 7 max per boat. That's a good limit, because 7 will keep you busy every minute tending them. You let them soak about 30 minutes each. But you have to manuever your boat (in the dark), gently get ahold of the floating/lighted jug or bouy, then pull quickly (first pull most important), then fast and steady the rest of the way. There's a fair amount of technique to doing it right with more success. I believe I have the technique, just can't find the buggers...
