Greetings C-Brats, My wife Cathy and I (Robert Healy) will be at DiMillos Marina with our C-Dory 25 (Fan-C-Dory) this next boating season. It would be nice to meet some fellow C-Brats in the Casco Bay, Maine area over the summer boating season. We will be bringing Fan-C-Dory up from Amelia Island, Florida to Portland, Maine around the first week of May. Our condo in Portland is located in Old Port, only two blocks away from the marina. We will be cruising Casco Bay extensively over the boating season, we hope fellow C-Brats in the area will get in touch.

Fraternally yours,

Robert and Cathy Healy

Oh man, what a great area that is. Was there about 15 years ago. Caught the walk on ferry out of Portland. Still remember all the lobster trap buoys on that trip. Still have my Casco bay tuna club cap. Identified a lobster boat at a boat yard on this coast last year. They have a distinctive style. Good times and memories. You will be having a great time.

Hi Robert & Cathy,

You'll sure have fun staying in the Old Port and cruising from Demillo's. Hopefully, we can cross wakes with you this summer.

I highly recommend "The Maine Coast Guide for Small Boats - Casco Bay" by Curtis Rindlaub. You can cruise all summer without hitting all the gunkholes he describes.

My favorite Casco Bay day trip is to loop around Sebascodegan Island (aka Great I.). Wills Gut with the Cribstone Bridge, lunch at Cook's, Gurnet Strait, and the pass from Gun Point Cove to Long Cove makes a unique cruise.

Hi Robert & Cathy,

Hope you have some type of cabin heater for the early part of the season.

Rick is the expert for cruising knowledge of Casco Bay. Valerie and I on Widget would also enjoy getting together for some cruising.

There is also a very interesting trip from Bath to Boothbay that can be done in a day or better one overnight.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Dave
