I Am sure there are other fans of the PBS radio show "Car Talk" out there. I have been learning and laughing along with the Magliozzi brother for more years than I can recall. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Tom Magliozzi today. He had a brilliant mind and an infectious laugh. If you have not heard their long running radio show and you are into cars treat yourself and track them down on Youtube. Hilarious and insightful.

Loved the Tappett Brothers. Gonna miss the humor. Luckily I get to listem to past shows on XM. Even though the shows are "dated" thier humor isn't.

It's not only on XM, it's on most of the NPR stations on Saturday AM, at least around here it is. Will miss him, there's supposed to be a special tribute this Saturday, be sure to listen in. :love :hug :male :rose2

You can also listen to some episodes via podcast from NPR. I too loved those guys and it used to be one of the shows I listened to whenever it was on. It was one of the few talk radio shows that even my wife enjoyed. So in the spirit of Tom Magliozzi - Don't boat like my brother!

Same feelings here. Always made sure to listen to them when I could. I am sure that the fans know that these two bothers both were MIT graduates, but choose to be auto mechanics (along with a few other endeavors). Bright and humorous--well loved all thru America.

Cindie and I were listeners as well. Always got a kick out of making our own guesses and enjoying the banter with callers.

There's a special "Best of Car Talk" on NPR today to celebrate Tom's life. Typically it's on at 11AM in your local market. I'm tuned into WBUR in Boston via the internet right now and listening to it. By the way, in one short segment electric brakes were discussed. In the words of Tom and Ray, no one knows how electric brakes work.
