C-Run is moving north!

C-Run has new owners! She has been purchased by a wonderful couple from Northern California who have this magical 2nd home in the northern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. A pure paradise for sure. The island has no transportation, so they needed a boat to ferry themselves and their goods from Vancouver Island, and a boat to use to explore the area. In a few years they will be living in Canada full time.
It was very difficult for me to part with my boat, but when you find someone who appreciates and understands not only the boat, but all of the love and attention that I have given to her, and all that was returned to me, it is much easier. She is in very good hands.
Now it is time for me to get serious about the next boat. I have owned C-Run longer than any other boat, about 10 I think, and I am sure there will be at least a few more. Don't bother asking what I am looking for because it is a process that will only gel in time. I am not there yet. I did buy a 14 foot Duraboat that will be a fly fishing boat for the South Sound and some nearby lakes, but it is not my "next boat". Stay tuned.

I am not going away from here, no matter what boat I buy. This is just too good of a place to hang out, and full of some of the most wonderful people I have ever known. I mean that!!!

Robbi,

I guess a bittersweet "Congrats" is in order. I assume the new boat (whatever it is) will also be something from which you can fish. Waiting with baited breath to find out what you decide on. Good luck with your search and process.

Oh, Robbi! I'm not fully awake yet but my first thought when I read the headline that C-RUN is moving north....is that you and Cordell had finally decided to leave the Tacoma area and maybe we'd be neighbors....Well, we will miss C-RUN, too! It was always so much fun when we had our 19s together. Like you, our 19CD was the one boat we had for the longest length of time (6 -1/2 years for us) and we still miss her!

But what ever you decide to purchase as your next boat, hopefully we can get together for some new adventures.

Many hugs,
Ruth and Joe

Well, congratulations. I didn't know you were looking for "the next boat," but I guess it's all about timing and the situation. It can be somewhat sad to watch a great boat go away, but it's exciting looking forward to the next one. Good luck on this next chapter - we'll be looking forward to hearing about the process.

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

Did you clear this with Brock??

My girls and I first met you and C-Run many years ago in Sequim, and after you so graciously spent a chilly afternoon knee deep in chillier water teaching Tiffany about the marine life that so fascinated her, you became part of our family. So the headline kind of grabbed me, too.

Robbi, just as well make this public, didn't know you had sold your boat. You asked about the red Excursion and whether it was available!

I'll repeat it in public, you can have it WITH Captain's Cat at a bargain price. PM me again. I'll even finance part/most of it. And no, I am not from Nigeria...

Congratulations on your sale! I know you won't be long without one. Hope to see you in Langford again some June in the future!!

Charlie

I'd be careful here Robbi. That Excursion is RED and Charlie did say he spent a couple of hours in a patrol car yesterday! [Is that "arrest me officer" red?]

Very funny Les!!

I'm still writing the saga of the trip North but the time in the patrol car was spent driving me and the copilot around to tire stores (on a Sunday) looking for big ass trailer tires!! Hats off to Sgt David Quigley of the NC Highway Patrol, a letter of commendation is next on the list!. An eventful trip but no arrests were made!!

Les, quit playing with the keyboard and go sell a Marinaut! :thup

Charlie

Thank you all for your warm and caring thoughts. You are the best!! :love

Charlie, Thanks for the very nice offer, but I am pretty sure that there is not a TC in my future. My husband is hunting for an 7.3 Excursion, very hard to find, unless you want one that is lifted a foot or two. He needs a replacement tow vehicle for his car trailer.

Robbi-

Good luck with the boat switch!

Take your time and let it all work out fully.

I know you'll do it right, and be happy!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Robbi,

As in fishing, (which you know infinitely more about than I do), boat buying is all about timing. It has to fit in many ways. You will do well. Good to have you sticking around here and hope to get to meet C-Runs new family here too.
