C-Ranger R25 tug - In the water

Jeff told me hull #1 was heading east next week. Sea trials were available on that hull last week and this week. I could not make it up there but was hoping to get a report here from someone or Jeff on the sea handling abilities. I know at least one sea trial occurred. I also heard that production was set back a bit with no real commitment to how much. Any tidbit of information on this boat is appreciated, thanks...

Wow, so are you saying they have sold and are delivering Hull #1? I had hoped to be given the chance for a sea trial, but those were due in May and cancelled. I thought we'd be given a second chance notice or something.

I don't know if hull #1 was sold or going to a show and coming back or what. I am sure there will be opportunities for sea trials on this hull or another soon. I have a deposit on a new Ranger 25, the sale being dependant on the appearance of the finished boat (one not being complete at the time) and my successful sea trial, which I hope will be in the not too distant future and on a day with wind and water that tests the boat the way it will be used. I'll post updates as I receive them, please do the same.

OK..only east coast boat shows I see are:

8-10Sep: Norfolk, VA
21-24Sep: Norwalk, CT
12-15Oct: Tampa, FL
30Dec-7Jan: New York, NY
10Jan-14Jan: Atlanta, GA

I guess things are way fast now wrapping up production year 06 and laying groundworks for year 07. Does seem that it would have been a topic of discusion at the gathering....even if the boat stayed at the shop.

Do Tell Jeff and Scott...?
