C Pelican sold

C-Pelican

New member
Hello everyone,

I wanted to share I sold the C Pelican earlier this month to a wonderful couple, Tim & Rhea, and their two beautiful young daughters. The boat is staying in SoCal.

Thanks to this site for making me feel so welcome and being so informatative, as six years ago, the C Pelican was my very first boat purchase in my life.
You, and "on-the-water" experience, taught me all I know about boats...and a few books....

Buying it from Dr. Bob & Marie, of course, was a bonus beyond description with his honest dealings and wealth of knowledge.

I tried to pass that spirit on to the the new owners as it was passed to me.

Tim & Rhea seem to be like all of us, head over heels in love with the boat and on their very first solo trip saw whales & mola-mola's.... What a wonderful first trip !

They plan to introduce them selves here shortly. Please look for them and welcome them heartily.

Now...a Ranger 27, or 29 or 31 Tug or a Nordic Tug 26 ????

Sincerely,
Jeff

Jeff,

Thank you for the introduction. We are indeed head over heels for our new C-dory. It has been a wonderful to learn from you throughout this process and to see the level of detail and care that has gone into this boat.

Our daughter keeps calling it her "pelican boat," so the name of the boat will live on. We have the boat now parked near Sunset Aquatic, in Huntington Harbor, and will be launching out of there on a regular basis. Like Jeff, this is our first boat, so we have a lot to learn, so we will be leaning heavily on the collective wisdom of this group.

After taking ownership, last weekend we polished the entire boat with 3M Gel Coat Restorer, and the boat looks like brand new. We have big plans to take to boat out this weekend and hope to be making weekend trips to Catalina by the summer. If anyone sees us on the water or wants to meet up,we would love to meet other passionate C-dory owners.

I will post pictures shortly and plan to be an active member on this site.

Thanks,
Tim

Jeff-- Moving up, eh. I know you enjoyed the boat and Tim & Rhea will also.
Tim-- ya gotta make trip out to the Channel Islands sometime.

Welcome aboard Tim & Rhea,

You got yourselves a grand boat.

I poked around Jeff's album and saw some delicious "bugs of the sea".

I hope that those lat/long coordinates are still in the plotter.

Don't forget the butter.

Hey Roger,

Nice seeing you here again. How are you? How's that old "squid" we both know, doing????

T & R really liked the bait tank and bracket that I got from you too.

Moving up? Want to, but no hurry, need to find a deal, if so, I am ready to pounce.

Jeff
