C-Dorys in the San Juans 2011

Pat,

I don't think that crab in the pix just below the one of you is smiling. Maybe the water was too hot, or it is going to be. Oh well, Your smile is big enough for the both. Enjoy.

Plans? Hmmm, we're in Chuckanut tonight then, if weather permits, off to the dock at Camp Orkila YMCA camp on Orcas to return a wallet left by accident on Halcyon by an interesting visitor.

Maybe by Thursday might be over in Anacortes to resupply.[/i]

We got up at 5 a.m. this morning, intending to pull our pots and retrieve at Squalicum - bad luck. First I managed to throw our boat hook overboard, wasted a lot of time retrieving it, then BOTH our pots were hung up on the bottom, got one up, lost the other - anyway, back at Squalicum saw Woodduck Ken, said hello, and then off we went, back home in time for me to get to w0rk by 10 a.m. as promised, GREAT weekend, Friday night to Monday morning on the boat, but honestly, I need a kindergartner to explain the game of Uno to me...although Ryan's Irish Cream and M&M Peanut candies somewhat soothed the learning process!

Maybe the last hurrah for us in the San Juans this summer, maybe not. Was able to sneak away a bit early today, got launched at Squalicum and back at Chuckanut Bay in time for drinks and dinner, celebrating my birthday a few days early (real birthday is next Tuesday, the 16th). A nice card, a bottle of Ryan's Irish Cream, and this great little chocolate cake from B&E, a wonderful evening of conversation, and off to bed pretty soon! The Webasto is blasting away in this year with no summer and the cabin is toasty! Life is good!

So great to celebrate Pat's birthday on the boats. A little lumpy sleeping this chilly night, but nature wants to rock the cradle. And the Irish cream is a fine nightcap.
