Hey guys,

I'm excited for the winter crab opener this oct 1 and stoked that it will be open 7 days a week. That being said i wanted to have storage on top of the boat. It's a c dory 22 cruiser and I am looking to find a Yakima roof rack customized to the boat. Does anyone have one and let me know what the model number it is to order one.

I have a rack i bought for my car but it is the same type I used on my 27. I paid 150 for it. Its just the locks and cross bars. You would still need a rack or plate form

God I love this place!

I used the old style rain gutter mounted style of yaks and it worked great with no modification. 1A is the tower style. On page 7 of my photos I have a pic called thanksgiving solo outing that illustrates what it looks like. I bet craigslist or Ebay you find what your looking for or in the garage rafters of a buddy's house. Not to many cars have traditional rain gutters anymore. I see you can buy them new as well still. Mine were given to me free from a pal.

Good Luck

Something is not exactly the same. And Yes the back button is involved.

Looking for some input and experiences trying to "rack out" a 90 Cruiser - with wooden roof grab rails. I see that the gutter mount style 1a Yakima towers are being used to mount to the stainless grab rails on some of the newer Cruisers. Does anyone have experience trying this system with the wooden rails?

The ultimate goal is to safely be able to mount a couple kayaks on the rack via proper saddles. any thoughts??

I'm not sure how I feel about such a small dinghy without any positive buoyancy of its own (i.e. vs. and inflatable). A neighbor of mine just died falling out of a 5' jon boat about 100' from shore. But, if you're going to go with a cargo topper anyway, one that becomes a boat seems like a strong idea to me.

We do have a proper inflatable tender/dingy as well. The kayaks would be for specific trips were we wanted to get some paddling in. We would not try to bring the yaks and the dingy at the same time. So many places to explore in PWS.

I like the first one. It would work great camping from a small car on a lake or river. Hell it would be good as a duck hunting set up. Right now I'm filling my scion xb with gear and putting the canoe on top. This would get it all out of the car and stored on top. My clients would never suspect that I was going hunting before or after appointments. Have to look into that .
what is that weight. Might not be the best for lowering off of a cdory roof.
