C-Dory Sightings

Hardee, yea that too.

For added safety towing, I do have on the stern of my trailer a warning to
passing motorists:

Port side : "Passing Side"

Starboard side: "Suicide"

I didn't ever hear Grandma or Grandpa say that. It's original.
But, in their day, they didn't have freeways, interstates and
idiots driving fast vehicles in a rage to get somewhere (underground?).
Only carts with hay and stuff.

Seems Matthew has petered out. Compassion goes out to all east coasters
who have lost any stuff, or family, from this monster.

Florida interstates are very congested - everyone evacuated is now returning
home. I'm doin' alternate routes.

Aye, to all.

Foggy,

Grandma was a gardiner, hunter and hiker, Grandpa was a Veteran.

I have seen those signs on the back of big trucks, and make it a practice to stay out of the blind spots for them or any other vehicles.

As an added safety feature, I put a back-up camera inside the cabin door on the C-Dory. It lets me see what is behind, and what is going on in the cockpit also.

Hey C-Dancer
...That little Tomcat hiding among the house boats on Lake union is Off Leash...We brought her in for the winter to so some upgrades on the interior and hoping for some warmer weather to take it out for a mid winter run or two...

Thanks for solving the mystery Mike and Hiromi. Great place you got there. Must have been hard squeezing Off Leash into that spot. Did you walk her in?

Peter

Hey Peter...LOL...The first time I squeezed Off Leach in among the houseboats, I actually used the aft helm and the twin engine maneuverability. It was an unbelievable calm day...I walked around with my chest puffed out like old rooster for a week.

The next time I tried, there was just a whisper of wind and after the addition of an unsightly little scratch on the outboard cowling, I decided it would be best to put my ego back in my pocket.
...I have been walking her in ever since.

Saw the 25 footer C-Change leaving Anacortes Saturday afternoon just ahead of me. Followed as far as Lopez Ferry landing where they continued towards Orcas and I split down Upright Channel. Good to see the new owners are using the boat as planned.

We dropped off C-Dancer at Hilton Harbor in Bellingham for bottom painting at Bitter End Boatworks last Saturday. There we saw Pat & Patty's Daydream sitting on it's trailer in the lot. She looked kind of lonely P&P.

Upon entering Roeder Ave, we saw the blue TomCat Carrera zoom by. Quite a bit of C-Dorys in one stretch of road. :thup

When do you pick your boat up from there? Mine will be going there Saturday.
