C-Dory Sightings

Yesterday afternoon, I spotted a brand new 255 Tomcat with grey trim that looked somewhat unfinished, as well as a SeaSport of similar size, both on a flatbed truck headed southbound I5 through Marysville. They were very shiny and neither had outboards yet, and looked a little unfinished. Must be new builds from NMI
Probably headed to Wefings in Florida based on posts by Marc.

spotted Knotty C and a venture passing Government island on the Columbia. Upstream on saturday and back down on sunday. They were trimmed out and running level. Looked good, very smooth.

Seems like C-Dorys frequently go by my house here on the Swinomish Channel, but I've just about given up waving because they seldom wave back. :sad

Capn Jack, maybe they don't see you. How about one of those little canned air horns, a big flag on a pole and a C-Brat Burgee below the flag. Maybe they could see that.

Do the C-Dory's have names showing?

I saw an un-named Black stripe 19 at Port Townsend Boat Haven this weekend. A nice mooring cover but no name.

A also saw Osprey, a nicely outfitted Blue stripe 22 Cruiser at Mystery Bay State Park this weekend. It was a great weekend on the water. Nice to get to meet Andy and Gus there.

Yeah Harvey,

I'll have to start writing down some names if I see one and I could get out my "Lung Powered" fog horn.

I may be mistaken, but I think you went by this morning headed north.

Oh, I wish, but I wasn't that far from home. I spent the weekend in the Port Townsend area, Whidbey at Keystone, and circum nav of Marrowstone and Indian Islands and over night at Mystery Bay with Osprey.

OK Harvey....

I'll start writing down the names and try to get them to wave. :wink

Added a few pictures to the album of us as seen on Google World from satellite in 2014. "You can run, but you can't hide." :wink

"Lumpsucker" at Cap Sante, Anacortes north docks. I could see the old name "Minnie Swan" on it too

I saw it over there when I was in Seafarer's Park near the fuel dock, but it was too far away for me to get a picture.

Thanks for the photo. Threw the bikes in the back and came down from Bellingham for a couple days of mountain biking at Cranberry Lake, and of course beers at the Brown Lantern...

Andy and Audrey - Lumpsucker

Cruising Ten Mile Lake in Oregon looking for likely fishing areas, we spotted a C-Dory 22 Angler - blue trim.

We spotted CD-16 named "Thelma Ann" out of Pa. She was being launched at Manatee Pocket near the St. Lucie inlet. This is the third time we've crossed paths with her. Last Feb we shared anchorage in Lake Boca Raton during a storm and chatted on the VHF then a week later we saw her in the anchorage near the Miami Yacht Club but no one seemed to be aboard at the time. Yesterday we were late to pick somebody up but we exchanged waves and I hope we get to meet someday. I tried to find "Thelma Ann" in this site but didn't see her listed. If anyone has contact info for owner, please let me know. Thanks, Bob

16' "Wilbur" going east on Oakes Avenue in Anacortes

HI, jhspear. I saw Obsession from Madison, WI headed west on highway 20 towards Anacortes. I think that was yesterday.

Saw Isola Bella at Fair Harbor Marina WA this afternoon. We were incognito, with our kids and grandkids in their (non C-Dory) boat!

I've already run into a couple of C-Brats while on the Tribal Canoe Journey that Caryn participates in every summer.

We met a nice couple from the South Sound, Gary and his wife (sorry didn't catch her name) at Blake Island. They are the new owners of the very first Marinaut 215 boat. She's called Seeker. On the way down from Point Defiance (Tacoma) to Olympia today, we ran into our old friend Robbi, formerly of the 19' C-Run on the water in front of Chambers Bay. She has a new to her 19' Angler but today she was in a 16' skiff. We're hoping to run into Jan and Stacy, former owners of C-Change on their new to them Nordic Tug on the water in the Sound as well. The weather is glorious! Summer finally decided to show up this week. Life is good!

16' "Minnow" outbound from St. Paul's Harbor in Kodiak.

Fished with Work Release and Bob-C-Dory out at Neah Bay,WA July 25-29 for salmon and cod.
They all did better than me :?
Oh well, next time :D
