I saw a CD25 in McCovey Cove at ATT ballpark on TV during the Minnesota Twins vs. SF Giants baseball game last weekend. It was my boat, as I was viewing the recorded game at home afterwards.

In Oak Harbor today, saw a CD16 Angler on SE 8th, white with red trim, a yellow tow vehicle. Couldn't get close enough to see if there as a name on the boat!

That was me. The boat is Little Buddy.

I was either going to or coming from Halibut fishing in Admiralty Bay. No luck that day, but I did get one last week :)

My other hobby is collecting airline and hotel points. I was surprised to see what I think is a C-Dory in the blog I was reading. Note second picture of link. The picture is from the Holiday Inn Seward.

I think it is an Osprey. Made in the same factory, and Very simular but, look at the shear strip at the bow. It does not narrow to a point at the very front, like the C-Dory ones. Other than that, they are very close. I think they are larger boats, 25+.

Is that Fred's and Robin's "LIttle Buddy"?

Thanks Harvey. I have never seen an Osprey.

Martha

Martha, You're welcome. From a ways off, they are VERY similar in lines, so the size is the main difference and the proportions are so similar it is really hard to pickout.

They are made by Triton, although if that is current or not, I don't know. Here is a link to the Osprey sight under the Triton web page.

It's an easy mistake, I have sidled up to several and until I got close, thought I was approaching a C-Dory, even from the front.

Used to be. I bought it from them a couple of years ago.

We passed Minnie Swan in her slip in Prescott, WI as we boated from the Mississippi into the St. Croix river on 6/1. Didn't see anybody on board. It was raining too hard to get a closer look.

Tonite Lisbeth & I went to Bellingham and had dinner at Anthony's Home Port Restaurant. while we were sitting there I was looking out over the Marina and there was a C-Dory boat tied up at the dock. After dinner we walked down to the vessel and took a peek. It was a pre 87 Classic 22 ft Angler. No name on the side and not a registration number on the bow either

To our knowledge this 22' C-Dory belongs to the lady who is a marine biologist and maintains the aquarium which is located in the building just north of Anthony's. She uses the boat to collect specimens for her tanks, etc. Back when we had our 22' C-Dory we chatted with her a few times but haven't seen her since we got the 19'.

There's also another 22' C-Dory in Bellingham (green trim with full green canvas) docked north of Redden Marine. We checked on it a few weeks ago and the bottom is covered with slime. Looks like someone isn't using it & hasn't been around to maintain it either. It is registered. Sorry - a senior moment here but can't recall its name.

Hi Joe & Ruth,
I note you have a 19' C-Dory therefore you maybe the person/s to ask how well does it compare to the 22' as a sea worthy vessel?
Thanks from a 16' C-Dory and curious about a move up to a 19

Hello Blueback, We had our 19CD for 6 1/2 years. During that time there was several occasions then bad weather preceded the forecast and that 19 slugged its way through 4+ foot waves out in the Straight of Juan de Fuca. We always marveled at how sea-worthy she was. If you plan on moving up, you won't go wrong with a 19 CD.

Thanks for the report on the 19-C-Dory
We have moved to Qualicum Beach which is mid-point on the Strait of Georgia. So although we love our 16' for the practicality of towing with our Jeep Liberty diesel we are very conscious of the strong winds that can spring up and even precede the wind warning here.

Sighted at the Ethonol free fuel stop yesterday ---> SleepyC

I'm standing in the cockpit holding the fuel hose and running the fuel into the tank.

She pulls in on the other side of the pump, takes a look around the pump toward me and says "Hey mister, how old is your boat?"

I think "Oh cool she thinks it's really nice, new looking. Great, here comes a compliment.

I say, "about 7 years".

She says, "Oh, cause it looks so old, like an antique or something"

Ouch.

I replied, "Oh no, it's not. I'm the antique."

She. Got back in her car and drove off. Never did get any gas   :xnaughty

Well that is a first for me.
