C-Dory Sightings

I was watching Northwest Indian News today. There was a segment on Columbia River sea lions. They were using a green 22 c-dory cruiser. They noted their episodes are online at www.nwin.tv. However, they are a little behind and it should be forthcoming in a month or so.
 
We are on vacation in Hawaii. Last Thursday I spotted a red 19 or a 22 ft. angler heading west on H1 out of Honolulu. Today we seen a Tomcat in a marina on Maui.
I spent the morning on a snorkeling charter to molikini. What a life.
 
Yesterday (April 6), as I was heading home from photographing sage grouse in SE Oregon, I saw a green 22 Angler heading east on I84. It looked like twin Hondas on the back. Nice boat! I waved!
 
On the way home from work today, I spotted a 22 cruiser with blue trim and twin honda 40s sitting on a King dual axel trailer. It was sitting in the storage lot across the street from the new West Coast Marine building. No name on the boat.
 
I work in downtown Seattle and from a 5th floor window I saw a 16' Angler coming up Western ave on Wednesday afternoon. It was behind a white Toyota Tacoma(?) club cab and had a Honda motor. It was the first C-Dory I've spotted in the 'wild' (not in a dealer lot). I managed to get a picture on my phone but I don't have an album here.
 
My wife says I eat sleep and dream C-Dories. So, when I had to leave C-Cruz at home in Santa Cruz, Ca. and was forced to come to Kona, Hi both of us thought it was also a holiday from C-Dories.

Then we were snorkeling at "two step" by the City of Refuge south of Kona when I looked up and there was a green C-Dory right in front of me. It was just a little too far away to read the name but I spent a good part of the remainder of my time in the water watching the C-Dory. My wife said I was far more interested in it than all the beautiful corals and fish life. While not quite true the C-Dory has such beautiful lines, one just must stare at its passings.

Ron,

Caryn and I love to snorkel at the City of Refuge. She swam with the dolphins there five years ago. We didn't see any C-Dorys back then but we were sure looking! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I have the work problem too. Also, we don't have a boat yet :)
 
while out shrimping today on the west side of Camano Island, Starcraft Tom, in His nice looking 27 , pulled up to us while we had our heads down rolling line on the hose reel. it was nice to see him out there.
the shrimping was stellar today. Got our limits (3) in one pull of four pots.
 
counting roger I saw 4 c-dorys today on the water or on the ramp. but roger was the only one I knew. Roger how long did you soak your pots?? we ended up with 2 1/2 limits after two pulls of 4 pots.
 
Tom, we soaked the pots about 50 minutes or so. with the honda powered pot puller we can pull a pot and reset in about 10 minutes. it can pull 400 feet of line in about 1.5 minutes. we use a combination of seafood platter cat food and a can of mackeral and about 5 cans worth of dry cat food mixed together. we use the large orange bait cans that we have drilled a lot of holes in. fill about 1/2 full and it washes on the soak fairly well.
 
Sat night after (during) the Friday Harbor CBGT, a 255 black or dark stripe TomCat, eastbound on 101 east of Sequim.

Saw lots of new (as in unfamiliar) names, and some without, at the dock in Friday Harbor . Great to see the newer folks joining in, Welcome and glad to get to meet you.
