C-Dory Sightings

For the first time in my life, I actually saw another C-Dory. We've never seen one in the water or on the road. This one was being pulled on Hwy 42/57 on the way to Sturgeon Bay, WI. I didn't get the name quite right, but it looked like Abel.... something or another.

Got to meet Dan who has an '84 22 footer tied up on C-dock at the Everett Marina. We had just come in and they were just going out for some crabbing.

"When we saw the V-29, it had two fellows aboard, who happily waved hello. No for-sale signs on the boat. Perhaps it has new owners!"
I just saw in the July issue of NW Yachting, it is shown as sold. Should be fun to watch for on the water.

is this 29 the only one built. there is one in mt vernen at the dealers next to the high way right now. I think more then one was built.

I also found a ad for one for sale at a dealer in portland on the net. its red.

On the way back from Menominee, Michigan to Sturgeon Bay, Wi - we saw and spoke with Nor Easter (CD16). We were in the middle of Green Bay when they sighted us and made there way over. Nice guys and what a great fishing boat. He had is completely filled with fishing poles, but still had room to move around. I think he stated he could have 9 lines in the water at a time.

Certainly the best looking fishing boat that we've seen on the bay - it was a pleasure talking with them. Not too many of us c-dory's up in this area.

On the way home from Bellingham, just south of LaConner after exiting the canal (channel?). I exchanged waves with the beautiful 22 called "Cruising Princess", I think.

I was southbound on hwy 19 near Comox and saw an rv with a blue 22 northbound at about 2115 Saturday evening. maybe Capital Sea?
Broughtons I bet. George

Spotted a C-Dory on Old Hickory Lake TN Tuesday 28th. I think it was a 22. It had no markings or anything added to it.
Honked as we passed but saw no one. Didn't stop because I thought they may be occupied. Nice rainy day on the lake.

Saw a 2004 25 Cruiser in a very nice private covered slip on Lake James here in western NC. Saw it friday, no name, not even registration numbers...went back by on saturday and the owners were working on the slip. Didn't get names, but nice folks!

Last night about 2200 hrs... I caught up with the Rock-C Crew, Terry, Anne and Chloe just north of Vancouver Wa... They figured it was me ,since not many other FedEx Freight Rigs honk and tell 'em to pull over for a chat. They were heading home from the big Cruise to Nanaimo, etc.

while fishing in Kodiak this month I saw a 22 angler tied to the city dock and a 16 five miles out fishing salmon with us. No matter where I go I see c-dorys

This weekend we tied up with the crazy frazey crew but saw four other boats including a new 255 cat, Retriever 22 cruiser, another unnamed 22 and a 21 tug.
