I cannot believe that there isnt one comment on these pictures. I have experianced the close up of the two boats in person when you do that you start to actually see alot of differance. Ive seen that alot have people have viewed this photo but Anita I guess I have broken the ice if your willing to post this. =)

I think we're all simply in awe that they can sit so close together, in such apparent peace and harmony. Mere words cannot express how momentous this occasion is.

Perhaps now, all of mankind will finally realize that we're all brothers and sisters, sharing this minuscule satellite in an infinite universe for a mere spec in time.

Let's not take this sign lightly, friends. Open your arms, and let the love flow towards your CC compadres. Let's make a point to surround the Cape Cruiser booth at the SBS, holding hands, and give forth a heart-felt rendition of Kum-Bay-Yah... :hug :hug2 :love :rainbow

Head Nerd Alert: Next person that bashes CC, buys the first round at the SBS. And lest you forget, there are many of us, and we don't drink no stinkin' cheap beer.

All seriousness aside, maybe the reason they look so tranquil there together is that there are no people in the photo...

No, my experience has been that everyone out at Twin Bridges gets along superbly -- no matter what kind of boat they may have.

DaNag: You caught my point exactly. I don't post on here often, and Fred tells me this has been a controversial topic in the past.

I wasn't thinking about that when I took these pictures. When I saw the two boats together yesterday, I thought it was pretty cool to be able to see and compare them side by side. (I just wish they'd had the 26' CC on the rack for greater parity.)

C-Dory versus Cape Cruiser? That's like saying Mercedes versus BMW. Kind of comes down to a set of esthetic choices; there are features about both boats that I think are great and some that I don't care for as much. But someone else may have the opposite feelings about different features. We each have our own set of preferences. There's no reason to get too emotional about it except when we make our own personal choices. Then, we pick the boat that's right for our own tastes.

Of course we are emotional. These are great boats. I love the Anita Marie and am so glad we have her. And the CC's are also nice boats and their manufacturers are also good people. Seems like we are members of community of people who like the same type of boat and boating....

Being side-by-side strikes me as an apt metphor for how we could view the world of C-Dories and Cape Cruisers.

But mostly, it was fun trying to get both the boats into the picture.

Furthermore, Bill, if you squeezed both them boats, whatever came out might not be orange juice but the two beverages would be indistinquishable. Maybe beer?

Ah TyBoo, I sit here and prattle on and you distill the essence perfectly. I do prefer a girlie beer, however. :love Robbin (Fred tells me only girls use :love 's. Perfect.)

(Fred tells me only girls use :love 's. Perfect.)

That is true, my dear. That is true. I do not have the insight, however, to figure out if Bill used the rainbow perfectly.

Gee, I think the first rocket launchers I saw were on DaNag, so I'd say you're into it for a case of beer.

Don't get me wrong, I like rocket launchers. Shoot I've gotem but the single bar looks flimsy.

Hey, Big Fella - you got a roomie for the SBS yet?

Well it's a pretty safe bet I won't be rooming with Big Roger. He's looking to beat the crap out of me 'cause I won't shut up.

I'm thinking I'll go for the single room.

If anyone wants to see photos of the two boats side by side for comparative purposes, the Three Rivers Marine Dealer which used to be a C-Dory dealer and is now a Cape Cruiser dealer, had some great comparative photos of the two boats side by side that were expertly done especially for that purpose. I don't know if they're still available on line, but if not the dealer would probably send them to you if you asked. If there's enough interest, they could be posted here.
