I'll put all the updates here in this first post as I do them. I am very constrained by youtube as I can only put up 10 minutes at 12 frames/sec when the film is shot at 30 fps for television. Needless to say, the quality leaves something to be desired, but youtube does reach the masses and if it inspires other stroke victims to get off the couch and do something, mission accomplished.

It was filmed (started) for commercial release, but I suffered a mini-stroke two years ago and the world stopped for awhile. I am planning to release it over time.

Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed both videos.

We have to many places we want to explore where the people are few to be overly interested in the Great Loop. A finished video such as you planned would be great for those who are. The trailer was very well done.

Noticed you passed right over Bear Lake, ID on the Husky Video. Jo-Lee and I have gone from our home to that lake on our atv.

Yep, that was on the checklist. It was the first time for me flying that airplane and if things weren't going right by there, the plan was to turn around and go back. That was filmed in the same 3 weather systems that converged and killed Sen Wellstone (and downed other airplanes as well).
 
I'll bet it was tough waiting that long in Kansas though I think a day or two would have been ok after all those adrenalin rushes. Looked like there was a lot of very low level flying you were doing. I know some of it was done due to the icing but at other times it looked like you was just having fun.

Brought back memories of time spent as a helicopter passenger while doing oil exploration and in my youth in the army alot of low level plane rides where we didn't come back and land with the plane. Most were enjoyable exciting times.

Hunky: Thanks for your service time Brother. 67N in my enlisted days and loved the nap of the earth stuff....when of course I thought I could not die... then, later in years they came out with this new thing called the blackhawk....and wow what power during nap of the earth...that our old faithful UH-1H did not have... but we fly more than we were on the ground for maintenance. Having to lift to clear the phone/electrical lines puts a charge in a guy. I do miss those flights....now that I sit here in the comfort of home...and know I did live thru some of those times... and today... I favor the saying...."stupid hurts".... and "if ya gonna be stupid...ya gotta be tuffffff".. Lucky and Blessed for sure.

I feel for you===must be really really tough with aviation being over for you especially when you are that good at it. Very good film, fantastic flying and what a plane. Did some things I thought only a helicopter could. Jo-Lee and I both really enjoyed the information on the Kingdom of Ais and the flying in the video. Have two sons and a daughter in law that have worked years in archeology though its a hard way to make a liven if you don't already have $.

Wish you success in future video work involving the c-dory.

Byrdman---Yes I wished the ones that deserve it got more thanks than they do. I didn't do much but was willing. Many were willing and sacrificed much, some all, with very little appreciation from many. A lot of my interest in military history is to pay recognition and respect for those who did pay the bill for the rest of us.

On the up side made a few adrenaline rushed parachute jumps out of those old helicopters and more than a few out of the C ll9, Cl30 and C-141. The blackhawks were way after my time

Byrdman a special thanks from us for all the good works you do especially those involving the military.

Thanks so much for sharing the films as I did really enjoy them. Sorry to hear about the stroke and not being able to fly. I am in the same boat regarding a stroke. I can no longer dive or ride my Harley.
We are very fortunate at this time having to to look up at six feet of dirt... strokes can be nasty.

Couldn't agree more . . . I thank God for every breath and take nothing for granted now. Glad to be filming on anything (and money means a lot less to me now).
