There is a 1989 22' Cruiser w/90 Yamaha for sale in today's (10/8/04) Anchorage Daily News. It is listed for $25,000 & appears to be an Eagle River/Chugiak, Alaska phone #. :!:

I just bought the boat yesterday, my FIRST C-Dory! Joined the group today. What an awesome craft. An '89 22' Cruiser in EXCELLENT condition, loaded with goodies. I'm totally thrilled, and looking forward to a lot of good times on Kachemak Bay.

Congratulations, Bob! You certainly sound thrilled! I think you'll fit in just fine here.

Will you be wanting to show off some pictures of this fine vessel? We can whip up a Snowbird album in short order for you. We wouldn't mind hearing about those "goodies", either.

We're real glad to see you with us, and glad to hear about your new boat. She'll serve you well in those beautiful waters up north.

The cheapest way to get a boat from Washington to Alaska (or vice versa) is on the Alaska Marine Highway, aka the state ferry system. You can view their rates online, but they are about 40% of what Tote, Sealand & the other commercial shippers charge. I looked earlier this fall at shipping a boat from Bellingham, Wa. to Haines, Alaska & the rates were about $145/foot commercially & about $55/foot on the ferry system. You can check the rates out at this website:
