Jack,
The foredeck house area has a slight curve to it in the middle of the fore and aft vertical section, approximately 1/2", however if you go further forward I found the curve to be more in the 1/4" range so I would recommend installing it further forward. Easy check to do is just lay a straight edge along the foredeck vertical fore and aft section and you will see what I am referring to.
