C-Dory Demo Days in Anacortes

I have been using one of the bottle fillers for a while. Like Dan, I have a hard time filling the bottle all the way, even after placing it in the freezer for a while. Going by the directions and giving it a minute to refill, the bottle is only filled ¾ of the way. I did fill one bottle all the way, by leaving it hooked up for 15 minutes.

I have the Coleman catalytic heater and mount it to the top of my back shelf with a computer fan blowing across it. With the camperback on it really warms the boat up.

In the CD16 Angler fitted with the Alaska bulkhead, I am afraid the main problem will be not getting too hot in that little cabin with the 4000 BTU/hr from the Mr Heater Buddy (on the "Lo" setting)...WHEN we get the Sunbrella camperback, I can imagine it just being scumpo!
 
Scumpo???? What the heck does that mean? I think it is a word in Romanian, but nowhere can I find it in any English dictionary. And it certainly doesn't make a word if you spell it backwards either.
 
"Scumpo" : probably a nonsense word that conveys feeling or meaning.

Commonly found in such works as Lewis Carrol's "Through the Looking Glass", e.g. "Jabberwocky", and Dr. Seuss's books.

If you can make it up, you can use it!

I hope folks won't go blowing themselves up with the refills!! LOL

Propane cylinders should only be filled to 85% capacity to allow for temperature caused expansion.

A cylinder filled to 100% will 'gas off' thru the relief valve if they heat up above fill temperature. Probably a good idea to keep the refilled cylinders outside!

Newer US refillable propane cylinders (2 1/2 or 5 gal) have an overfill preventer valve which limits filling to 85%. I don't think the disposable cylinders have such a valve.
 
"Scumpo" could be Romanian, I don't know, but I think it is really just one scumpo word!

Larry - I weigh my cylinders after filling them. If it is the same weight as a new one then I consider it full. In most cases, it is three to five ounces lighter. Those I figure are not full. I have never been able to get more in a refilled container than what a new one has.
