Nice. Last month on KY Lake, I had a nice chat with a gentleman on a houseboat that talked about the 4th of July you spent watching fireworks on his boat.

How is the book different from the blog they posted each day on their trip? I read the blog regularly.

I knew I picked a winner.
Not one to miss a potential good opportunity,
maybe it's time to put C'est C Bon, a 2014
C-Dory 26 Venture up for sale. Seriously.

Aye.

I read the Amazon sample linked above. It covers the first 3 or 4 days of the 6 month trip. It inludes some great photos, even one of a page from the C-Brats. I can't wait for my daughter to download it to Dotty's kindle

Congrats on everything. It wasn't all that long ago when you came on this site looking for a 6 month rental of a boat that many (including me) thought you would never find. I have to say you're a determined man. Good on ya!

Hi Sobelle's parents. Several people have said we gave away too much information on the blog so people wouldn't buy the book. The book is certainly based around the daily blog but with heaps more photos and narrative. The book has introductory chapters not on the blog as well as appendices such as our trip statistics. Hope that clarifies your question. Regards Derrick

We enjoyed meeting Don and Bobbie at Kenlake Marina who were excellent hosts on the 4th of July fireworks night.

My wife, Beth, and I had the pleasure of sharing the waters of Lake Michigan with Derrick and Deveen for about 4 days. Really a great time with 2 great mates. I just finished reading Derrick's book and would highly recommend it. The flow of reading the book differs from the nature of the blogs and renders a "complete" picture of the voyage. Thanks for the efforts and excellent references in your book, Derrick.
Warm regards,
Jeff Ritsema
