'yep, I am with Greg here.
Sea Lion is my 7th boat and I truly got "LUCKY".
With all the other boats I would see a nice boat and say "someday I will have something like that". Now when I pass a boat like that or fish some of my friends big boats I am just thankful to have what I have. I don't have any longing for another boat... well maybe the 225, but I digress.
For my budget and needs my boat fits like a glove. It is easy to work on and to customize to my liking (except the barber chair conversion
) it is economical and thrifty to operate (for a boat) and it is easy to maintain.
I fish the rivers and I go offshore, so far up to 60 miles offshore into the Pacific Ocean.
Anyone who knows me will tell you, I love my boat and I highly recommend them but I also recommend doing your won research and getting on as many of the types of boats you are interested in as you can. I took 5 years to make up my mind, then my focused quest took over a year once I made up my mind.
C-Dorys are great boats and the folks you meet here in the pub and out on the water that own them are every bit as special as their boats.
I sure enjoyed reading Gregs stories and seeing the pictures of how he uses his boat. I enjoyed reading the adventures of Bill and El on Halycon, and I enjoyed meeting them even more!
Get your self to a C-Brat event, you will not regret it.
Good luck on your quest, I hope to be reading your stories one day soon.
