We had an overnight rainfall last night. We were going to enlarge out bulkhead opening today so we were removing all cushions and absorbent material from the cabin. We found moisture only under the starboard cushion which ruling out condensation which should have been generalized. Closer inspection of slight hull staining lead to the realization that water was leaking through the hull where the starboard navigation light wiring entered. We started looking for more staining and found staining at the outboard nuts of both midship cleats. The boat is kept on a lift so there is only occasional tension on the cleats when we travel. The boat is subject to direct intense sunlight during our Maryland summers. The bottom line, at four years old some of my vessel's hardware needs re-imbedding. You might want to check yours!
