C-Change Grows Up! :)

Today C-Change grew up a bit ....and the new C-Change was born! This afternoon I registered our new (to us) C-Dory 25 in Washington State.

Stacy and I purchased Amanda's 25 cruiser from Arizona, and today after receiving the title and registration, I trucked on over to the licensing department and had her titled in our name. We are looking forward to some great times in the new boat, but a bit sorry to part with our trusty 22 cruiser.

Amanda was great to work with on the deal and everything went very smoothly. I could not have asked for a better situation.

The new boat will be delivered by Sharp Yachts Transport next week. Cory has been great to work with so far and we are looking forward to a stress free delivery. The only down side, and it is a big one for me, is that we will regrettably miss the Friday Harbor CBGT :(. The boat is scheduled to be delivered next Friday and we really can't see a way of being two places at once. Hopefully we will catch up with folks in the San Juans and Gulf Islands over the summer.

Good on you. Wish for you smooth waters, calm winds, and many a sunset at anchor.
Will miss seeing you at Friday harbor.

Congrats Jan and Stacy. So NOW you get a new (to you) boat just when you got the 22 all set up with new electrical and electronics. Go figure! :wink

Looking forward to seeing the new boat on the water.

Folks, That is great news! :thup We all hope Cory can put the pedal to the metal and get it here a little earlier! We would miss seeing you and the new boat in FH.

Saturday maybe?

Good for you! Just think of all the things you want for the new boat and all the extra room you have to put more stuff in. And more stuff. Wait, wait, its already getting crowded! Do we really need all this stuff! Sure hope you can find a way to come to FH, even if boatless and just for the day.

Hi Jan & Stacy,

Congratulations :D We're so happy for you :D :D Looking forward to seeing you with your new (to you) 25CD.

Thanks everyone! Excited and a bit overwhelmed thinking about getting the new boat set up. I'll be on here asking for help and opinions in the next few weeks.

The boat is a 2009 with a Honda 150 (86 hrs) and it has no electronics, not even a VHF or sounder, so I don't think we would feel comfortable taking it anywhere until that is addressed. Cory's outfit is going to deliver the boat directly to CSR Marine in Seattle for the bottom to be epoxy sealed and bottom painted. I suspect that will take at least a couple of weeks. We plan on keeping the boat in Shilshole marina for the summer and back to Leschi marina in Lake Washington for the winter, so the first order of buisness is to get the bottom done.

At the same time I will be working on getting the 22 cleaned up and ready to sell. As Peter mentioned, the boat is fully set up with all new electronics ( Garmin 4210, HD 18 radar, Standard Horizon 2100 w/ AIS) and really works well for us. Hopefully the new electronics and the good condition of the boat will allow it to sell well. Once the 22 is sold, I can concentrate on updating the 25. :)

I'll work on Stacy to see if we can maybe do a walk-on to the ferry and visit for the day. If not - still planning on attending the Comox gathering in the new boat and will be in the San Juan's & Gulf Islands the week before and after the gathering.

Very exciting news. I know you wanted to upsize and now you did it. Sorry we won't see you at FH but we hope to see you on the water soon.
Way to go.

No worries Pat. I got a peek at your credit card the other night. :)

Fred: IM should be in your in box

Mark: Thanks - the extra space and the enclosed head sealed the deal with the Admiral.

Dave: Thanks. Hope to see you on the water this summer :)

...the enclosed head sealed the deal with the Admiral.

Oh, yeah. It was the selling point w/ Meredith. It is convenient though, w/ just a little more maintenance involved. It's especially nice when my granddaughter comes along, and since my son & DIL are expecting one more girl come August, it will be doubly convenient.
