C-BRAT Calendar 2022 Submission Request

We are looking for photos for a 2022 C-BRAT Calendar. FYI, These may also be included in some social media productions for C-Dory promotion.

The photos should have been taken within the last 3 seasons, so dated 2019, 2020 or 2021.

The photos may be either taken by you the boat owner or, of your boat if taken by someone else for you.

The photos need to be High Def, in a 4x3 ratio, or cropable to that. Please send technically and digitally high quality images.

All photos need to be Landscape (horizontal) format.

Photos should be at least 1688 x 1313 (and best is 3375 x 2625). They should be JPEG or JPG, (PNG is usable also).

For each photo submitted, this is the “required image information” that will need to be included with your email:
1-Photographers name.
2-Photographers C-Brat username. (Makes it easier to find you on C-BRATS)
3-Name of Boat owner. (Some Exceptions can be allowed.)
4-Name of any C-Dory's in the picture (if it's not obvious), if Possible.
5-General location where the photo was taken.

Your submission email must include these things.
1. A Subject line with “2022 C-BRAT Cal submitsand also your C-BRAT user name.
2. Up to 4 image files, each with a specific file name.
3. A separate document included in the same email that lists each of the image files by that specific file name, and the required image information listed above.

You may submit up to 8 photos. If you do send 8, you will need to send them in 2 emails sets. We will accept up to 8 photos per submitter. The second set must use numbers continued from the first email set. (IE: Set #1; 1,2,3,4 and then Set #2; 5,6,7,8. If the size of your photos requires a 3rd email set, continue to number the photos consecutively.)

Emails total size should be in the 15-megabyte size range for best result. This change may be due to the ability of the receiving station.

The email address for submissions is:
julie@nmiboats.com

We want to include as many model variations as possible, so looking forward to photos of any/all models, C-Dory/Venture/Cape Cruiser/TomCat. And from across the continent; Canada, USA, and Mexico. Wherever you have been boating.

The acceptance deadline will be Nov 25 at midnight. Nothing will be accepted after that date. There will be 13 photos in the calendar, 12 months and a bonus cover pix. It is highly unlikely that more than one photo from any one submitter will be on the calendar.

It will be ready for purchase around mid-December.

Looks like this needs more than a speed bump. So far we have 5 submitters. NOT ENOUGH. Come on folks. It's your calendar, let's get your pictures into it.

Sorry Harvey. We will submit our photos tomorrow. Two of the photos are of other C-Dory boats that will be great contenders in the contest. Thanks. Come on guys. In 2021 alone, I have seen many great photos in members photo albums that would make the 2022 C-Brats Calendar.

G&C (DayBreak) Hey no problem. That was a nudge to me as well. Not there yet but working that direction.

Thanks for the post.

We are still looking for photos. I talked to Julie today and we have some but could use some more. Not very many folks sent in photos. Not sure why there seems to be a pretty low participation. This is something you can do
from home
from your phone (maybe, not me though)
without a mask or vaccination
without getting dressed up to go to the post office
and probably will be fun going back through the photos (there might be one you need for your family there.)

So, here it is A nudder boughmp

C Ya, Less than a week 2 go.

I usually put in a couple, but this year life got in the way of using the boat. Only got it out twice this year, but no pics.

I'm not sure exactly but we are trying to have them so they can be delivered before Christmas. I will post as soon as I know.

Howdy howdy, and the 2022 C=BRAT calendars are in the process. There are still some steps to go but we are moving on them.

We had a fairly sparse submission, with 13 submitters, and 44 images sent in. There is a pre picking process, where they are checked for eligibility; Dates, image size, and clarity. After that initial check, there were 32 usable images. Then they are put on the screen and the picking process starts. WE are looking for good sharp image quality, and a good variety in boat models, not the bikini versions the boats themselves, We came a bit short this year. We have a 16-18, and CD=22 and V-23, and then some CD-25's and TC-255 TomCats. I think we actually had one boat that looked like a fisherman's boat. Most were obvious cruisers. There were some younger family representation which is great to see.

Not nearly as many photos this year, and I would be part of that is due to a somewhat less feeling of freedom to travel. I know I have been in that boat. I also did have to do some family required travel, that took me away from prime boating time here. There are some great photos and the calendar will be a nice showing of the variety of places and ways we boat from the CBGT's traditional C-Brat gatherings to some good day tripping and solo cruising and from the mountains to the white sandy beaches.

I don't know how soon they will be ready to order, but we are aiming for having them in hand before Christmas. Hang on, it's coming.

So, I know there are a lot more of you that take pictures of your boats. I am curious as to why we are getting so little participation. It could be any number of things so I am curious what the reason is that YOU didn't send any photos in. Please comment on that. I have some ideas but first I would like to hear from the group.
