C-BRAT Calendar 2021 Submission Request

We are looking for photos for a 2021 C-BRAT Calendar. These may also be included in some social media productions for C-Dory promotion.

The photos should have been taken within the last 2 seasons, so dated 2019 or 2020.

The photos need to be High Def, in a 4x3 ratio, or cropable to that.

All photos need to be Landscape (horizontal) format.

Photos should be at least 1650x1275 and bigger is even better. They should be JPG, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, or Bitmap will all work. I do not know how to work with these other file types, but JPEG and JPG should be easy.

For each photo submitted, this is the “required image information” that will need to be included with your email:
1-Photographers name.
2-Photographers C-Brat username.
3-Name of Boat owner. (Some Exceptions can be allowed.)
4-Name of any C-Dory's in the picture (if it's not obvious), if Possible.
5-General location where the photo was taken.

Your email must include these things.
1. A Subject line with “2021 C-BRAT Cal submits” and your C-BRAT user name.
2. Up to 4 image files, each with a specific file name.
3. A separate document included in the same email that lists each of the image files by that specific file name, and the required image information listed above.

You may submit up to 8 photos. If you do send 8, you will need to send them in 2 emails sets. We will accept up to 8 photos per submitor. The second set must use numbers continued from the first email set. (IE: Set #1; 1,2,3,4 and then Set #2; 5,6,7,8) If the size of your photos require a 3rd email set, continue to number the photos consecutively.)

Emails total size should be in the 15 megabyte size range for best result. This change may be due to the ability of the receiving station.

The email address for submissions is:
julie@nmiboats.com

We want to include as many model variations as possible, so looking forward to photos of any/all models, C-Dory/Venture/Cape Cruiser. And from across the continent; Canada, USA, and Mexico, Wherever you have been boating.

The acceptance deadline will be Nov 22 at midnight. Nothing will be accepted after that date. There will be 13 photos in the calendar. It is highly unlikely that more than one photo from any one submitor will be on the calendar.

It will be ready for purchase by mid-December.

Colby, Thanks for the submission.

We currently have submissions from 6 folks. Plenty of room for more C-BRATS to add their favorites. There is one week left to take entries so you still have a bit of time, but better to do it sooner rather than later.

Check the first post in this thread, then follow directions.

C-BRAT Calendar 2021 Submission Request We are looking for photos for a 2021 C-BRAT Calendar. These may also be included in some social media productions for C-Dory promotion.

Thanks Harvey for your effort with NMI to put together an official 2021 C-Brats Calendar for us to purchase. We enjoyed the 2019 Calendar and missed having one for the 2020 year.

For information, if you submit a photo or photos, you may decline the request from NMI if you do not want them use your photos as a promotion. We sent in our photos and Julie immediately got back with us on this request. We appreciate NMI, after all, they built our boat. I can appreciate those who may wish to have their privacy protected and decline their request.

My hope is that many more photos will be sent in to make a 2021 C-Brats Calendar a success.

...

I don't mind having my photos used in promotional material (not just C-Dory stuff) as long as appropriate credit is given.

Thanks for pointing that out ssobol,

NMI would use the photos for the promotion of C-Dory boats. They have great respect and loyalty for the members of C-Brats with our privacy in mind and that is why they ask first.

NMI deserves our support in keeping the name and heritage of our C-Dory boats alive and thriving for future generations.

Gary.

Thanks for the partricipation and the submissions. At this point, we have submissions from only 7 Brats. I'm surprised and, frankly embarrassed, that we have not had a higher number of submissions.

We have a pretty great bunch of folks here, and I bet everyone has taken pictures of their boats. Those are the pictures we are looking for. Those are the onew we have not seen, and those may be the ones that will tickle the eye on the 23rd.

So, before you get all filled up with getting ready to deep fry that bird, jump into your photo files and find a couple (or more) and get them off into the email. WE want to include as many good photos as possible.

Keep 'em coming.

The problem is going through them all and finding the best ones. There. Are. So. Many.

Rob,

I noticed one of your album photos is taken in Newport, Or. If you ever come out here again with your C-Dory let us know and we will meet you on the water. Anyone else is also included.

Gary.

Our meeting at NMI is not going to happen today or whenever, Covid restrictions so . . . . we will see how this goes. You all hang on, and I will let you know. Last count we have less that 100 photos to go over.

You only need 13 :)

I’ve usually posted my calendar in my kitchen nook and have always loved looking at the photos, seeing the boats and geographic areas. Gives me enthusiasm for getting out on the water and seeing areas we haven’t been to. Of course, it’s also a good way to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. My coffee time this year just hasn’t been the same without it!

Harvey, I can understand your disappointment at having only 100 photos, probably many of the same few boats, but... hopefully that will still give you and Julie enough to work with. Thanks to both of you for attempting this project!!
