C-27 @ EQ

I went by EQ the other day and saw a C-27 with a full outboard bracket (extension of the hull, it looked like, not a partial Tom Cat-like bracket) with newish 225 and 15 Hondas. Raymarine electronics. Dunno if this has been posted here before, but FWIW, there it is!

that is a well know boat in this area and would make someone a great cruiser. I have been in and on it and thru it several times. she has the cabin of the older 25s combined with the biggest deck that you will find on a c-dory. Unlike any other c-dory I have seen she has a storage hold below the aft deck. It is huge. the hatch is ( guessing) 3 by 3 ft. and the storage space is close to 5 by 5 and over a foot deep. closer to 2 ft I think but never measured it. You could , or more to the point I could, store two crab pots, two shrimp pots, all my fishing gear bags ( thats 4 large bags) a pot puller, a small honda generator and a few coolers. I was able to crawl in the hold and I'm not a small guy at 6' and 220lbs.

Now add that to a huge 4 person table in the cabin with a large head (no shower but it could be added) , more storage in the cabin then any c-dory afloat and you get a idea how great a cruiser this boat would make.

The rear deck can be fully enclosed and seat 8 people for drinks with ease. add to that the aft steering, large swim platform, huge flat cabin top etc etc and you have one hell of a fishing cruising entertaining boat.

so yes i want it, no I cant afford it. I have even considered selling the susan e (the boat) and buying it but cant afford the loan at 8%.

If you are looking for a new 25 you need to look at this boat.

Glad you made that clear before you were sleeping on the couch.

Maybe we should take up a collection and buy it, then it would be used as the party boat at the gatherings, or used to take groups out fishing for the day. Tom could be the resident captain for the trips.

Maybe I better go look at it. after the boat show in seattle does every one feel this is a good boat even though it's 1984 , any thing else about the boat you could share thanks Duff

I beleive that you could sleep two in the v-berth and two very friendly people on the table that make in to a bed. Would be great for two kids I think. call E.Q. to make sure. Please do not rely on my failed memory.

That boat looks like it would lend to modification, even extending the cabin aft, putting in a settee, which would give upper and lower bunks, perhaps pipe bunk over the dinette etc. I see loads of potential...ah to be young again!
