Well, not on my C-Dory, or Rozy RF-246, , but rather helping a friend bring his 44' Kadey Krogen down the eastern coast, around/thru FL, up/over to Mobile Bay, up the TN river to Joe Wheeler state park. In Annapolis right now..and will remain here over night. We are still dock nice, safely and secure here in Annapolis MD...and watching ol Danny boy for a bit more. We plan as of crew this morning to just wait here where we know we are good..... about another 12-18 hours and just watch the storm. Then, we will make a call around 5am based on storm news update our next ...or first move... Looks like a full day at the helm can get us down to a nice marina in the Deltaville, VA area, ICW MM 134 area....about a 80 mile run....which is a good 10-11 hours at the helm in this vessel. So, if the weather checks out, we will toss lines just as we can see outside, and prior to true dawn ..... and get underway. We are itching to get going, but, also mindful of the bad things that can happen too... 6am + 11 hours helm time = 1700 or 5pm, giving us just a bit over 2 hours of daylight left for tieing up at the marina. Will post more later...and may just move to www.heartland246.com blog page for a log-a-long/blog...
You can post the link below and check at your leisure our progress...or lack there of for the rest of today...and in the morning. Not sure how well the wireless will work enroute, but, generally, SPOT works pretty good as long as we have a shot at the skies!! When posting the link below,....be sure that all the characters transfer..as some computers the word wrap kicks in...and does not copy the last 6-8 characters.....and you get a bad web site report rather than the tracking map. The last characters are..... cp1Cjf3qX
